PURPOSE OF THE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE The purpose of the Design Review Committee (DRC) is to ensure projects do not violate neighborhood covenants, while preserving and enhancing property values for all residents of Asheton Park. Our objective is to help residents realize their project goals by upholding the quality, style, and values of our neighborhood. This may require changes to your original plan, but if property owners are willing to work with the DRC, most projects will eventually be approved.
Tree Removal You do not need to request approval for tree removal; however, we highly recommend that you inform your neighbors of your plans before you start the removal process, and hire a professional tree service.

HOW TO BEGIN THE DRC PROJECT APPROVAL PROCESS Step 1: Ensure your project complies with neighborhood Covenants and Design Review Guidelines. These documents can be accessed above. Step 2: Gather any photos, drawings, plans, or sketches to help with the review process. (.pdf or .jpeg formats are best). Step 3: Submit a Design Review Committee request on our PayHOA portal. Ensure all information is uploaded, as well as any attachments. Step 4: Talk to your immediate neighbors. Explain your project. Discuss their concerns. Step 5: Submit any additional information that may be requested by the DRC, as required. Step 6: Meet with a DRC representative, if necessary, to discuss your project and any potential concerns. Step 7: Await FINAL approval from the DRC. (Depending on your project, this may take 10-30 days.)
